Other happenings!

Here are just some random picures. Miles sprung his foot on a scooter so he was on crutches for a few days. It was a pretty bad sprang. Other pictures are just of the kids and our pioneer primary activity!

Jackson Birthday!

Well Jackson is 4! We had a really fun family birthday. He wanted a Kung Fu Panda Cake, a trip to Chuck E Cheese and a new, bigger bike. He picked out a spiderman bike and now he can go really fast. We had a good time at Chuck E Cheese as we went at 2:00 on a Tuesday so there were hardly any people. He also got lots of Star Wars guys which he loves. He starts preschool again this fall and also starts t-ball which he is excited for. Unfortunatly he had to get four shots at the doctor which didn't thrill him and he couldn't walk the rest of the day but he survived!

4th of July

4th of July was kind of uneventful but that is good in that we just took it easy and did whatever we wanted. Wylie does their fireworks on July 3rd so we went to Jeff and Camilles and watched them. July 4th we woke up and went to the Ward Party - David is over activities so he was helping cook etc. While cleaning up Addison got in the car and wrote all over the leather seats with pen! KIDS!
We took the kids to the PGA store as David has continually talked about taking the kids golfing. I was talking with Suzy and she had told me Marc had Luke out on the course and that got David thinking he should really start acting instead of talking! We got the kids each a set of clubs and we found out they offer free lessons for kids over 7 so Miles can start in six months or they even offer 30 minute lessons for $20 - not bad.
We then went and ate at the Cheesecake Factory - they just built one near us - actually it is just down the street from my parent's townhome! Jeff and Camille came over for a BBQ and then we went swimming. The kids where so tired we didn't even try to go see fireworks that night - they were sound asleep by 9 and slept through all the neighborhood noise! David took the kids to the driving range Saturday and they loved it - Miles was even pretty good - I love it because now David can go and take the boys and Addi and I can go do girl things!!
David has Monday off too so we will hit a movie and he is taking the boys back to the golf course!

Happy 2nd Birthday Addison

Addison is two - can you believe it. We can't. All David and I remember is this little baby and then this little girl running around. It really is fun having a little girl. I think it has been night and day between boys and girls. She has so much attitude but is really funny and sweet. She knows what she wants when she wants it! We love her to death! We went to Build-a-Bear for her birthday and she chose a pink bear and dressed her in jean capris with a pink shirt that in sparkles says I'm Fabulous! She loves pink - in a store she grabs anything pink and brings it to me. She loves to shop with mom - she already realizes it is for her and likes to hold all the clothes. We will have fun with that! She loves princesses. She got a purse, a princess set that included a phone, play make-up, sunglasses etc. She just loads everything in the purse and she is off. She also got a princess dress-up set - she loves the shoes. She wears them all over the house and even tries to wear them in stores. We also had people over Sunday the 29th for cake and ice cream. She celebrated well!
She is already 35 inches tall - which they say double your height at 2 and that is how tall - so she should be 5'10" - we will see. She only weighs in at 23.5 pounds so she is really skinny especially when she is so tall.

Jackson Pre-school Program

Jackson did wonderful in pre-school this year. He started out really shy and would not talk but by the middle/end of the year the teachers said he really came out of his shell. They said out of no where he would say really funny things and they always looked forward to it! He learned lots and even sang in the last program. He is really looking forward to next year!

Kindergarten Graduation

Well Miles is officially graduated from Kindergarten - The day of graduation the teacher invited us to the classroom and all the kids wrote stories and read them. Miles story was called T-rex Eats. Here is what he wrote -
I see a big t-rex watching trooper guard wyrs. The wyrs keep T-rex from easting good dinosrs. The dinosrs eat green leafs. The t-rex ascaps. The t-rex ate troppers. He ate a raptr. T-rex went hom to bed.

Pretty good - keep in mind they get no help. He sounds everything out himself. He did a good job reading in front of lots of people!

Swimming Lessons

I enrolled the kids in swimming lessons since they are wanting to be more independent in the pool. They both did really good - Miles loves to swim. Jackson is a little more timid and stiff but he did start putting his head in the water and loved retrieving the rings! It was really convinent because they are offered at our pool.

Hello Again!

Well it has been awhile since we have updated the blog and alot has happened. Most of you know but I have been MIA because of that dreaded morning sickness. Yes - we are firing up number #4! We went to the doctor today and for the first time she didn't move my dates which made me happy because usually I get moved 2 weeks according to the sonogram. The big date is January 11th (Katelyn's birthday) but the doctor was already talking days with me since I do like to be induced and said December 30th would be great - after the heartbreak of tax breaker Miles (1/1/02) how will I resist but we have 6 months to decide! Everything looks great - I will scan the sono later. I have been really sick this time and I am betting on a boy but we will see! I am excited - for some reason the idea has had a little harder time growing on me but the kids are all really excited!

Mothers Day & Anniversary

We have had lots of events to celebrate lately around here. Mother's Day was really nice. First because most of David's meetings were cancelled so he didn't have to leave so early and helped me get the kids breakfast and ready for church - I didn't know what to do with all the time. Then he got home only 30 minutes after me and made dinner and let me relax. The kids gave me fabulous gifts that they made at school. Jackson gave me a book from his year at preschool that had his handprint made for different season/holidays. Miles gave me a tile that he made a flower with his handprint and a book about me and him. You gotta love the things kids think - Question How tall are you Answer Miles 12 feet - Mom 55 feet tall. Question How much do you weigh Answer Miles 12 pounds - Mom 55 pounds (At least he is consistant) Question What do you like - Answer Miles to play with toys Mom - to wear shoes! It was a wonderful day!

We also celebrated our 8th anniversay on Monday the 12th. David so lovingly told his work he could not travel that day! He took me to Outback and stayed home and helped with the kids. I can't believe in 8 years what we have accomplished. Mostly that we have these three little people that we are responsible for and to see how much they have grown up.

Food Storage

Well my major project the last couple of weeks was food storage. I have really been working on this for the last year and I still am not even close. A year for a family is ALOT of food. I have been going to the cannery every 2-3 months but I had an opportunity to have the Stake Canner and I was able to do food you can't get at the Church's cannery. We canned 172 cans between Camille and myself! David even helped :) It feel good to be getting closer but I still have a long way to go between the time and cost of food who knows when I will get it all done!
